DiullI was told to expect a subtle purple tint with the shade I chose. But even subtle is an understatement. In the past, putting a dark shade in my hair has made it shiny and healthy but that didn’t happen with this color brand. Was sent wrong colorThe overall product is good. However, I requested the light brown. What I got was 2 different colors. My roots are now dark red and the rest is medium brown. Which would be fine, if that's what I paid for. So far I have been waiting 2 days to hear from anyone about the issue. I even sent pictures. Product Not Used YetI'm sure the product is fine, but I haven't used it yet. Do not send any more! I'm sorry but I did not understand that a supply would be sent automatically. BEWAREBEWARE this is a subscription. I got my first color and they snuck in a subscription. They charged me on the 10th, I received my color on the 27th, and 3-4 days later they charged me $30 for another hair dye package. Overall, not bad, but...The good: The color match was surprisingly good given it was based on a not-so-good photo (I stink at selfies) and my best guess at matching a color swatch. Definitely more like a salon color than a drugstore box in terms of the "depth" of the color. The condition of my hair and scalp after coloring were better than after a salon color (my scalp gets "tight" feeling and itchy after a salon color but that didn't happen with this product). The not-so-good: Grey coverage was less than stellar (especially on the parts that are close to pure white), despite processing for the full 30 minutes and "emulsifying" in the shower as directed. It's possible that was the fault of the application (there was an awful lot of product left over, could be it wasn't mixed or applied correctly) or that something can be tweaked to make it cover the grey better. I also didn't find it terribly easy to apply by myself (got dizzy and nauseated working backwards in the mirror) and ended up asking my husband to finish it for me. Bottom line: A better-than-expected stopgap until the salons are open again, which I'll use again if that doesn't happen before I need a retouch.
