my dark roots didn't need black coloring...My dark roots didn't need black coloring. I am trying to darken my damaged colored hair by a hair dresser this summer, when she lightened it (I wanted to go a medium to dark reddish, SHE wanted to try something fun. I've never been a blonde nor will I ever want to be one!). She's Not my hairdresser anymore and she did try to correct it three times. Every time I color it, it comes out shoe polish for the first two weeks, finally looks better for a week, then begins to fade again to a reddish pink (bc of the bleached out damaged hair). I'm pulling my hair out-literally from the stress of the last three months and ready to shave it (took 2 1/2 years to grow it this long) and start from scratch!! I've tried three batches of eSalon. Has hints of red and fades to redThis "custom" color is like all of the other medium brown hair colors I have tried. It has undertones of red (which I'm trying to avoid) and fades to red in the sun or after a few weeks. It is the most drying hair color I have ever used. Fab!!!I love love love my new hair colour!! The whole process from the ordering to the application was great! The help that I received from my personal stylist was fabulous, I didn't know how to go about covering my old highlights but she helped me get the exact colour that I was looking for. Gentle on HairFor the first time using this product it appears good on fine hair. Having gone to a Salon for my color it was a challenge for me to do my own color. Love it!I have been coloring my hair for years and had never heard of "copper mahogany" before. I was a little skeptical but figured if worse came to worse, it could be changed.
