They couldn't match color & killed hairI went in to get color matched, yet they chose a color that resulted in a lot lighter band to cover the new growth. So failed to deliver for what I went in for. And I now have to pay extra for a professional to fix that next time I go to a salon. Also the formula is very strong, my hair was healthy and silky when I walked in, now it's like dry hay. Perfect!couldn't be happier! My first Custom color was too light and didn't blend well with my dark ends. My colorist contacted me immediately and, after a quick conversation, promptly sent out an adjusted formula. It was perfect. My hair looks and feels better than any salon visit I've ever had! People don't believe I color my own hairI have consistently received positive comments regarding my hair color. When I tell them I color it myself, they always want to know where I get my color from. Most people think I just haven't started to gray yet! If they only knew! Never again!I did a lot of research on this company and a competitor before I decided to go with Esalon. Big mistake. I can't wash out the color from my scalp, sections of my hair and roots look black when I ordered dark chocolate. My hair is naturally curly and so dry unlike any color I have ever used both colored by myself and in salon. It's taken two coconut oil masks to get any moisture in it and I still am rinsing color out with 5 washes. Followed directions to a T. Thank God it's around Halloween so I can pass it off as part of my costume since my hair is so fried I can't do another color without further damaging my hair. Never again! second time having it come out and this was worseIt was too dark and too flat. It made me look washed out. Honestly, this is the second time the color has been shipped and I was my hair EVERY 3 days. Color was dull looking and washed out after a month... do the math, it should have lasted much longer than that especially when I was it every 3 days using a color safe shampoo and cond that is sulfate free.
