My hair dresser is unhappy....This covid 19 lockdown had me scrambling for decent color without going into the store. This is my 2nd order/application and my hairdresser will not be seeing me again for any coloring any time soon. Grey no more!I've got more grey hair than I care to admit and after a missed hair appointment due to Covid-19 and some serious root/grey hair issues, I was desparate to dye my hair. I've never done a DIY home job so was really apprehensive about colouring my hair at home. I did buy a well known off the shelf kit, but didn't feel comfortable using it. After plenty of research, I discovered e salon. The fact that I knew someone would mix the colour, based on very specific info I submitted ( including a photo) made me feel more confident about colouring my hair at home. The colour arrived quickly and the instructions are really clear and very easy to follow. After the patch and strand test, I was ready to take the plunge. I have to say I am really impressed with the colour! It's exactly how it would be if I had been to the hairdressers and I may just have been converted to colouring my hair at home again in future! First timerI was hesitant to try this given I have been dropping $150 every 8 weeks at a professional salon for the last 10 years. It was easy enough to do but a bit messy. A first timer mess I’m sure. So surprised that my hair turned out exactly the same as the salon. Silky smooth, shiny and easy to style. Yay!! PerfectI have never colored my hair myself before and was imagining an off color. It was a perfect match. I found it hard to apply as demonstrated but I did it though I missed a couple of spots. I will do it little differently next time and see if it's easier for me. Turned out better than I thought!I have never colored my own hair, so this was very stressful for me. I only needed to color my roots, but my hair is pretty thick. I followed the instructions exactly and it turned out great! My hair is so soft and the color is perfect. I will say it didn't cover the gray as well above my forehead, but it blends in with my blonde hair. One thing: I did not get a bottle of Stain Guard in my kit. Perfect match-subtle resultsDisclaimer: I am extremely particular about results, and (typically) don't write reviews unless I am blown away. Use primarily to cover front gray/blond and around ears (hello, ponytail season!). Color does not darken with perspiration and blends beautifully...AND one of the best parts of this color process, after running through the hair and letting sit for a few at the end, is this radiant glow and depth achieved. I subscribed to this service in early March when the shelter-in days began, and not sure if I will need pro color $$$ going forward? Love the resultsI was so hesitant to color my hair for the first time in my life! With the stay-at-home directive, I missed my hair appointment mid-March. So mid-May, it had been over 3 months. To order, your color specialist called to discuss my color selection. She told me to send some photos taken outside rather than indoors so she could better determine the color. With her expertise, she tweaked the color just a bit. I got the personalized kit very quickly. Then, I watched all the videos, but still needed encouragement. With all this support, I colored my hair tonight and just love the results. My hair color has dimension, exactly the right tones and it was so easy. Thank you so much!
