Brilliant product and service,I purchased my root touch up kit a couple of months ago when lockdown came. I’ve just plucked up the courage to use it as initially I was a bit wary about using it! It was a bit tricky to apply just to the roots as my hair is long but with the help of my husband (!) this was managed and I was very impressed with the outcome. It covered my grey roots perfectly and didn’t interfere with my highlights which was what I was worried about. I was Petrified of doing my hairDue to the COVID and salons closed, I had to get rid of the greys in my hair. I spent endless hours studying videos and never dyed my own hair. Since I am a dark blond, I also do low lights and highlights on my hair and I have an amazing stylist that has done my hair for several years. I tried it for the first time, and the match was perfect and my hair was so incredibly soft and shiny. I would give myself a solid B, but I plan on perfecting it with the next round of color. (I missed a couple of spots on the back of my head, I am also very critical of my hair. Color is perfect!I admit to great trepidation about coloring my own hair, something I've never done before, but this worked really well. The actual color was exactly my color and although all of the gray wasn't covered due to my own learning curve, it was amazingly better. My hair is very dark and this took care of the skunk stripe at my part. I thought the actual process was pretty messy and I didn't love that, but that is NOT the fault of the product. Love it!I have found it very challenging to find a dark brown with red/copper tones that isn’t too brassy, fades too quickly (especially from my ends), or is almost burgundy looking... until eSalon changed the game! (I’m naturally a light dishwater brown, but prefer a bit darker and more red to work with the fair skin and eyes). I am very happy with the color, quality, and especially the price! I believe in the benefits of utilizing professional stylists, but this teacher-mama finds salon coloring cost prohibitive. Can’t speak to the gray coverage, but the sparse few at my temples still aren’t showing, and in general the color hasn’t noticeably faded three weeks later! An immediate rescue!While I typically salon color my hair, during COVID-19 I found it was necessary to attempt to find another way. I am probably 75% grey and unfortunately I did not get the amount of full coverage I was looking for. Some of this may be attributed to my inexperience....it has been a long time since I have done it myself! But overall color shade, health of hair after coloring were all positive, as was the kit.
