Like GlueI was very excited to try this hair colour after the many good reviews. Application was easy, it didn’t irritate my sensitive scalp and it didn’t have a strong chemical odour. Then came the time to rinse. I have coloured my own hair for years and have never experienced what happened. If I had seen a similar review before trying, I am not sure I would have. I rinsed and rinsed and it felt like my hair was caked in gel or glue. I could bend it and it stayed bent. The water was running clear but it was clearly not out. So I used the shampoo provided three times before I felt like it was liveable. This took more than 30 minutes of scrubbing in the shower. Now I do love the colour, maybe a little dark but grey is covered better than some products I have used. Love ESalonLove the color. Over the course of 2 years I’ve had 4 different formulas trying to find the perfect fit. I’ve figured out I have one I love for summer and slightly darker shade for fall and winter. It would be nice if I could personalize my color with a nickname so I didn’t have to guess which one is which. Unfortunately, on my last order the hole on the bottle of developer was so small I couldn’t get anything out. I had to cut the tip off to apply. I haven’t experienced that before. Side note. The new dusty pink shampoo and conditioner packaging is NOT getting a thumbs up from me. It reminds me of something you would get at a cheap hotel. Nice colour, too long of a process!I like the colour, the process however is just too long and the dye is extremely difficult to rinse out, I don’t like the shampoo or conditioner supplied, I had to wash and condition my hair a second time using my own to get it completely out of my hair, now let’s see how long the colour lasts. Saved a disaster!Ok so I had an absolute home dye disaster which my stylist didn't want to fix! Having stripped my hair using a home dye removal kit, nothing would stay on my hair to replace the colour. I explained all this to esalon and my first kit arrived..as well as being in a funky box and customised with my name, the product was pretty awesome too! I wanted to go dark as I have done previously but was advised to do this gradually so opted for a lighter shade first. I was amazed how natural it looked but was lighter than I wanted so I'm now on my 3rd adjustment to get it to the shade I wanted and today I have my perfect shade, the most natural hair dye you can get, including what I've had done at salons, I can't rate esalon highly enough, I'm just so pleased, not only with my hair but the service is amazing too...you chose the frequency and they contact you before it's prepared to make sure you are happy with the order, they listen to any adjustments needed and then update you when it's mixed.
