Color faded fastEven with leaving the color on for a longer allotted amount of time than required, within two weeks the color had faded and my grays began to show through again, even with using the color treated shampoo, conditioner and color tint. I also washed my hair in cold water hoping that it would help retain some of its vibrancy but it didn’t help. UnsatisfiedWhen I first started with esalon, they gave me my color with a 20 vol developer. I’m a freelance makeup artist and hair stylist so I know a thing or two about hair and how to color. After the first four times using esalon, I started to notice breakage on my edges and my front hair line. Since, I am using black hair color them there is NO reason at all why I should be using a 20 vol developer. I figured the high vol of developer is what caused my breakage. I emailed them to change the developer to a 10 so that wasn’t an issue. After each color, I washed my color out and the process has been far from easy. Here’s some of the cons I’ve noticed using esalon color: 1. It takes forever to rinse out. 2. The color feels sticky like glue when trying to wash it out which is not normal. 3. Color just right!My color was the best yet! It was lighter than before because of a change in coloring method at the end of the process. My colorist suggested I fill what was left in my bottle with water, shake it, then saturate the ends and leave it on for three to four minutes. That kept it from getting too dark. Thanks for that tip. I feel more confident doing my own hair--I've had it colored for at least 10 years--but the expense was getting out of hand. Love my colorI’ve gotten tons of compliments on my hair color. I was super nervous to try this service because women pay a lot to have this done every 8 weeks. How could this product and my “untrained” and inexperienced hands be able to do this? Yup...the products are that good and my hands are that capable! Superior product! Blown away...by resultsOrdered this on a whim for my daughter. She needed an all over refresh of color. The website was super user friendly and fast. Shipping was very quick. Beautifully and professionally packaged. Easy instructions. I highly recommend the bowl and clips, and buying extra shampoo. The product smell was pleasant.
