The Only Self-Color Product to Use!Luckily I found esalon not long after my first do it yourself dye job! I didn't the the store bought color, it was flat and did not last as long as I was led to believe. ESalon, not only fashioned a color just for me, I don't feel like my hair is colored. My natural color was a brown with red highlights. In the summer it got redder if I spent time outside. So to go to a flat color was not natural for me. I LOVE my color and gloss. Getting My Hair the ESalon color!A friend recommended ESalon after frustration with inconsistent over the counter results and too pricey salon experiences led to Internet research and finding ESalon. I've always had thick healthy Hispanic hair but now in my 40s fast growing hair means fast growing greys as well and over coloring my coffee brown hair was turning it black no matter what I did. I ordered a beautiful medium brown with gold highlights from ESalon and at first got lovely brown roots and reverse ombré black ends. I called ESalon for help and they explained that adding color over color deposits SO often saturated my hair with color eventually getting darker and darker until my longest (therefore oldest) hair became black no matter which shade I tried. The ESalon color technician recommended a clarifying shampoo on my darker hair to try to remove old color before applying new color. (I also found a color removal product that removes color buildup leaving my hair ready for the shimmering rich ESalon color) I also followed the advice of putting my color on roots Only then putting the rest of color on only at the end of the process. Hair Color just for me!!I have been using the same formula for awhile now and I love how my hair color always looks the same! Absolutely love it!eSalon worked with me to find my perfect color. It is as close to my childhood color as it could be. Unlike store brands, my roots have not come through. That was the most frustrating part. My kids were always telling me my roots were showing after 2 weeks! Not anymore. Doesn't Get Any Better Than This!If you're going to color your hair at home, you need to go with eSalon!
