Dark brown was blackDark brown color I had used several years ago was black. Also, my scalp burned with application, and trying to self apply with the squeeze tube was so difficult that it was hilarious. I am not happy with the directions for this color set.I asked for the colorist to change my haircolor by lightening it two shades lighter. I received no communication regarding this change until I was informed by order was being shipped. Then upon receiving the color, the directions told me to dye my new growth and keep dying it over time until it is all the desired color. This is unacceptable to me. I have shoulder length hair, and I don't want to wait two years for my hair to be a new color. I don't appreciate the lack of communication and the methodology recommended. There was waxy residue left on my hair.Very thick waxy built up in my hair. I am not sure if was a defective formula or what. Or maybe this dye doesn’t work with my hair. I wanted to know what to do about the waxy buildup. Should use an exfoliating shampoo or baking soda. I had to wash my hair 5 times after the color and another 3 times the next day. Just okayI had high hopes for a hair color that is far more expensive than my normal color. It left my hair feeling very dry and brittle despite my following the directions EXACTLY.
