Its good to use in between shampoo & conditioner. Its watery and not creamy, so it splash everywhere if not aware. I do use this more often to keep my nlond highlights to look fresh.

I just received tint rinse - blonde neutralizer - it's the first time I have purchased it. I used it this morning for the first time and it is GREAT. It covered my roots good and I am getting grayer by the day. I will never be without it again. Thank you so much.....Julie

Stinky, but easy to use

This tint rinse is easy to use, and I like that it doesn't have to sit in your hair for ages. I also like being able to use my preferred conditioner. On the downside, the tint rinse smells like sour milk. It does seem to do its job, but the smell makes me want to use it as little as possible. Again, very happy that I can use my own conditioner...otherwise I would smell like the inside of a child's lunchbox.

It definitely takes more than one wash to see a difference. After 3 washes, my hair is exactly where I want it. It works about as well as other brands I have used, but it smells a lot better. Also, the packaging makes it easier to use without getting it all over your shower.

Just a little after your shampoo, before your conditioner, gets out any orange.
I only use for a few seconds once every week or 2.
You need this when multiple shampoos begin to make your beautiful blonde orange. Just a little, rinse it out and your good to go. Lasts months.

I used this after the colour treatment between the shampoo and conditioner to prevent a brassy colour as I tend to pull reds when colouring according to my stylist. This product is only left on your hair for a couple minutes while in the shower and I will use in a couple weeks after the initial colour again. This will maintain the colour with a more ash look that I desire.

I saw another comment on here about using it like hair dye.. So dry hair and leaving it on for 15 minutes. I thought that was crazy, but it made a huge difference. It only lasts a day or two, but it was great for family pictures I almot canceled because my hair was crazy red.

I have tried everything.
Repeat. EVERYTHING.
I put this stuff on wet unwashed hair (not per the directions but I didn't want to jump in and out of the shower) and left it in for about 2 hours (also not per directions haha) and then rinsed with purple shampoo and conditioner. I couldn't see the results immediately out of the shower but after I blow dried OH MY GOD. My brassy/yellow blond hair is back to perfect ash!!! I've never seen results like this outside the salon. I am so happy I found this product - it will literally save me hundreds of dollars in in-between-toning trips (which go for about $90 each).

No Change

I am naturally level 6-7, which I then have darkened to a 4/5, and have a few really light highlights added. My natural color is very cool/ashy and I like to stay with that tone in any color I have done. My regrowth always comes in cool, but anywhere my hair has been colored it eventually goes very gold/yellow/warm, so I'm always trying to eliminate those tones.
I purchased 3 of these treatments, and because I only wash my hair twice a week it took me a while to give each of them a fair try.
Of course I hoped this one would eliminate the gold/yellow tones, but I didn't see any noticeable change other than it made my hair feel more dry.

This did work it took some of the brass color out of my hair which is what I wanted. Will still use this though out this color setting. Hope to see it a little lighter for the next go around.

Keeps color shiny & eradicates any brassiness. Although brassiness is not really a problem with esalon color it's so top notch. If you plan on going into chlorinated you should use it on a regular basis as chlorine & the sun will wreak havoc on your color

It’s more like a shampoo consistency and I use it 2-3 times per week and it keeps the brass tones out of my blonde highlights. This bottle lasts a long time-little but goes a long way.

When I tried a couple times to use this as suggested by eSalon, it did NOTHING for my color. So I experimented! Mixing the Tint Rinse with water (1:1) in a hair color application bottle, applying the mixture to DRY hair and leaving on 30 mins to 1 hour works perfect for me.

I have well water and it can leave my hair a brassy blonde color. And it has an awful feel. I switched to distilled water and I use this tint rinse every time I wash my hair. Goodbye brassy blonde color!

I have many purple products, as I am a brunette going blonde.. I really can’t tell what they do to tell the truth. I don’t notice any difference

Excellent product. But I didn’t feel it was worth the extra dollars relative to drug store purple products.

Orange somewhat gone

It definitely toned down the orange brassy color. There is still some orange in there but at least the bright brassy orange is gone. I only used it once. I’m going to use it again later this week to see if it tones down some more. The product seems to work but I’m not happy with my overall color.

I have medium blonde hair that can get too gold so I use this product at least 2 times a week. Takes the gold right out and leaves hair silky.

Most tint rinses cause your hair to feel hard and not soft at all. This doesn’t do that. It gets the brassiness out.

My color was a little too much...until the natural fade that comes its time. This tint made it perfect. Now I use it to keep my hair color look exactly the way I hoped.

I have medium to dark brown hair (yes, blonde tint rinse takes brass out of brown hair, trust me, as I trusted my colorist, and they were right!). Anyway, I had a bad reaction to the hair color (long story, but fault of my own) and my color turned out really brassy. I used this product twice in the same week and it took the brass way down. I used it one more time the next week and it took the brass out. So, the by the third week, when I recolored my hair with my esalon color order, it turned out beautifully. The tint rinse is safe to use 2 to 3 times per week. I was just using a little caution for my first experience with it. I highly recommend tint rinse if one's hair develops unwanted brass.

I think this really helps to tone down some of the brassy tones in my hair. Still have some highlights, which I like, but would like a little less red tones.

Got the red out

My color came out super red. I'd tried my purple shampoo, then got some blue shampoo & conditioner. They helped a smidge but I was still red. I told my stylist and she sent 2 bottles of this stuff (so nice, right?). I left it on for 30 minutes bc I didn't want another small improvement. It did get the red out. My hair is now more of a warm brown. Which is fine. I'm aiming for basically cool (like, no soul)...no warmth. If it dialed back the warmth I would have given it 5 stars. I'll keep using it along with my blue shampoos. Thanks ESalon!!

It came out like purple ink and very watery. I expected it to be thicker. The effect works well, but I loose a lot because it is so watery. A mouse tint rinse would be a better idea or something thicker at least and the purple is kinda weird. Maybe like a blonde or light pink would be a better color choice.

Make sure you SHAKE WELL beforehand. Couldn't really see any difference after one application, but hopefully will see over time to keep brassiness away.
